Dr. Saikia joined V.S. Hospital (batch of 2008) to pursue his M.B.B.S degree and after almost 5 years of hard work and determination, he completed his M.B.B.S with flying colours in 2014. During his internship which was soon to follow, he reaffirmed his fascination for Dermatology. Looking at patients who were suffering from skin diseases and different skin conditions since many years (some even from their childhood) without any permanent cure, he was determined to become the best skin specialist and help all those people who were suffering.

Dr. Saikia is a skin specialist who completed his education from the prestigious V.S. Hospital in Ahmedabad. To become a Dermatologist, a doctor has to pass one of the most difficult examinations in the country, the M.D Post Graduation Examination. After many years of hard work and learning, Dr. Saikia’s dream of becoming an M.D in Skin & VD was finally fulfilled after which he started working in V.S Hospital itself.

He has also worked in Shardaben Hospital for almost a year after that, serving the hospital and their department of dermatology to the best of his ability. After that, he worked in SVP Hospital (Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Medical Sciences and Research) which was a state of the art hospital established in the heart of Ahmedabad providing service to the patients of all classes and backgrounds daily.

During his tenure in the hospitals, he mastered the skills of dermatosurgery and cosmetic dermatology. That experience in knowledge has been vital to help him grow into a reliable and trusted skin specialist today.
